Come try out The Hartsuff Park Summer Sampler: Ages 4-6This "Chipmunk" summer program is geared towards children 4-6 years of age.The program will be under the direction of experienced staff.  All children attending MUST BE POTTY TRAINED. We do not have the facilities to change diapers or pull-ups. The activities planned will provide directives in the areas of physical play, arts & crafts, story time, exploring nature, and water play (likely no swimming in the pond this week). Details:Dates: June 10th-14thTime: 8:45 am - 4pm (We will plan quiet time but no naps) Ages: 4-6 years oldCost: $205.00Location: Hartsuff Park Recreation Area (146 Hingham Street)Extended Hours Extended morning hours are available 7:30 am - 8:45 am for an additional $10.00/morningAll daily backpacks should be CLEARLY LABELED and include the following:- Bring a snack and lunch (please try to avoid peanut products) and a Refillable water bottle.  - Bug Spray & Sunscreen- Wear Sneaker NO OPEN TOE SHOES!- Bathing Suit (most likely no swimming in the pond yet but if it is warm enough we will do some water play)- Water shoes, these are REQUIRED for the children to enter the pond. NO EXCEPTIONS. (If we do water play I would suggest another change of shoes for those kids that don't like the sandy, wet feet)Please LABEL everything!- Towel- Please provide a change of cloths in their backpack labeled with their name on it so that we can change them in the event they have an accident or get their clothing wet. ***RAIN DAYS WILL BE AT Rockland Community Center. ADDRESS:  394 Union St., Rockland, MA 02370 **In this case you will receive an email from the Recreation Department, it will be announced on our website and on our Facebook page.  All children must be completely toilet trained.   Please Read: If your child is not feeling well or is exhibiting any of the following symptoms please keep them home. - a fever - a cough- sore throat- fast breathing- chills- shaking with chills- muscle pain- headache- a loss of taste or smell- Has been in contact with anyone with Covid Illness Policy:Children must be healthy enough to participate in the program’s daily routine.We do not have the facilities to care for sick children and therefore do not allow them to attend the Program.For the safety and comfort of your child, please keep them home until they feel better and no longer present the danger of passing on their illness.If you are keeping your child home due to illness, please contact the Program by 7:45am and let the Recreation office know of your child’s absence.When your child has a fever (of 100.5) or vomiting/diarrhea, please make sure they remain at home for 24 hours after their temperature and symptoms returns to normal.We may require a physician’s release for any medical or health condition. Online registration & payment is the quickest and easiest way to secure a spot in a program. Registration is also accepted in our office and by mail on a first-come first-served basis.Refunds: There will be a $10 processing fee for all refunds/credits and all requests must be made at least 5 business days prior to the start of the program.Age Requirement: Participants must be the minimum age for the program or turn that age within the first week of the program.Confirmations: Please keep a record of your registration. Confirmations are emailed as soon as your registration is processed; no further confirmations or reminders are provided.We ensure the safety of all participants in our programs. The "Chipmunk" summer program is geared towards children 3-5 years of age who are entering Kindergarten this Fall. The program will be under the direction of experienced staff.  All children attending MUST BE POTTY TRAINED. We do not have the facilities to change diapers or pull-ups.   The activities planned will provide directives in the areas of physical play, arts & crafts, story time, exploring nature, and swimming. Children are divided into age groups overseen by the program director, counselors, and waterfront staff.  Every Wednesday For those that are staying after 1pm, Kona Ice truck will be arriving in the afternoon. Kona Ice will be serving free shaved ice to all the children registered in our program.   Each week of our program has a theme and plan special programming is developed around each theme.  We will send home notices about dressing up as your favorite character, animal, super hero etc.  If you have questions about the themes you can contact the office or ask a counselor. Special Notes:There will be NO PROGRAM June 19th due to the Holiday.There will be no program held the week of July 1st. 7:30 AM - 8:45 AM    Hartsuff Park Chipmunk Program - Chipmunks Extended AM
The "Chipmunk" summer program is geared towards children 3-5 years of age who are entering Kindergarten this Fall. The program will be under the direction of experienced staff.  All children attending MUST BE POTTY TRAINED. We do not have the facilities to change diapers or pull-ups.   The activities planned will provide directives in the areas of physical play, arts & crafts, story time, exploring nature, and swimming. Children are divided into age groups overseen by the program director, counselors, and waterfront staff.  Every Wednesday For those that are staying after 1pm, Kona Ice truck will be arriving in the afternoon. Kona Ice will be serving free shaved ice to all the children registered in our program.   Each week of our program has a theme and plan special programming is developed around each theme.  We will send home notices about dressing up as your favorite character, animal, super hero etc.  If you have questions about the themes you can contact the office or ask a counselor. Special Notes:There will be NO PROGRAM June 19th due to the Holiday.There will be no program held the week of July 1st. This 8-week program is designed for children entering grades 5th-9th or up to age 15. Activities planned include wiffleball, volleyball, basketball, flag/touch football, street hockey, arts & crafts, board games, field games, swimming, and much more.  Location: Hartsuff Park Recreation Area (146 Hingham Street) Registrations: All registrations must be made in advance in order to provide adequate staffing. The Program:  RTA runs Monday- Thursday, including field trips on Tuesday & Thursday. Staff Ratio for this program will be between 1:10 - 1:15.  Please note you CAN NOT register for individual days.  Returning every Wednesday will be Kona Ice.   Weekly Fees: Monday - Thursday, 8:45am - 3pm: $230 Extended Hours:   7:30am-8:45am for an additional fee of $10/morning 3pm-5pm for an additional fee of $15/day.
